The Benton County Recorder's Office is your "one stop shop" for passports.  Fill out your application, get your picture taken and we'll complete the rest.  Passports are taking 4 to 6 weeks to process.

New Changes in the Recorder's Office effective 7/1/09:

-Recording fees for all documents except Plats & Surveys will increase by $2.00.  The fee for the first page will be $9.00 with each additional page $5.00.  The fee increase will be effective 07/01/09 to 06/30/11.

-Sales tax will be collected on casual sales of snowmobiles, atv's, off-road vehicles and off-road utility vehicles.

-New Ground water Hazard Statements (DNR GWH 542-0960 eff. 2/1/09) will only be accepted & filed reflecting the private septic inspections.
